How to lock liquidity on PancakeSwap

If you have created or are planning to create a liquidity pool with PancakeSwap, there are actions you need to take. Liquidity means the pool you create with two tokens of equal value. You may have seen the phrase “liquidity locked for 1 year or 6 months”. Locked liquidity means that no one can touch it for a certain period of time. So how to lock liquidity on pancakeswap?

Liquidity locked meaning

If you have created a pool or added tokens to an existing pool, a new token will be added to your wallet. If you used pancakeswap, this token will be called Pancake LPs (Cake-LP). The value of liquidity will change when traders trade in this trading pair. If you remove liquidity, you will again get two tokens of equal value. What does liquidity lock mean : Pancake LPs coming into your wallet is to lock the tokens for as long as you want. The tokens you lock will be in a contract. The longer the lock-in period, the more reassuring it is for investors. The percentage you lock is also very important. It is recommended that you lock at least 90% – 95% of your liquidity if you do not want to face problems like the following.

How to lock liquidity on PancakeSwap

Locking liquidity is very easy. There are lots of Locker for this. We will use Cedilla Locker, which is the cheapest. Assets will be safe as the contract is verified.

1. Explore Locks

Paste your Pancake LPs contract address on the https://cedilla.network/lock. Then click the “New Lock” button. (You can find the contract address from Bscscan). You can also check the lock status of any token from this page.

Enter the amount of tokens you want to lock and select the duration. Select the Fee you want to pay. Then click “Approve” to give the contract permission to spend. Wait for the transaction to be confirmed. Then press the “Lock” button and wait for the transaction to be confirmed. It’s done! Now you can see your vault and certificate by going to “My Locks”.
